The Roundup

This week felt like it dragged on for-ev-er. I blame the heat wave that rained atrocious humidity and air quality and kept us indoors watching Elmo’s world for hours on end and eating all of our fruit in popsicle form. Ugh. I’ve mentioned it before, but I really hate summer, especially East Coast summers. Is it time to move yet? Anyway, it feels like we have a bit of a break over the next few days, so here’s to a weekend full of outdoor fun and clean-ish air!

I loved Sarai’s thoughts on channeling desire into creativity.

I want to do all these things while wear this T-shirt.

Contrary to popular belief, you do have to actually take care of succulents. I killed two since we moved here…no more!

I can only hope this move helps American Apparel get back to doing what it’s done best, making great American manufactured basics (because seriously, who is buying lurex glitter leggings?).

Joy the Baker was so on point this week. I made this salad for dinner on Wednesday, and these brown butter treats for dessert. It’s all about balance, folks.

I love this whole look, especially the oxfords which are my current favorite shoe to wear with skirts.

In fact, I would wear oxfords with this lovely shift dress by Emerson Fry (it’s made in the USA!).

Speaking of Made in the USA, how amazing are these jeans by Gamine Co.? I love that they’re dedicated to making hard working clothes for hardworking women.

Elizabeth shared her recipe for homemade deodorant, and I think I have to make my own now.

Have a great weekend!
